Umberleigh Camping and Caravanning Club Site - Non Members Welcome.
The Facilities
The site is situated
in the Taw Valley, the heart of North Devon. It forms part of a
70 acre farm and campers are welcome to take a walk out to the wood
three fields away where there is a pond for fishing, picnic table
and a woodland walk.
The meadow adjoining the site provides a children’s ball
game area and a walk where dogs can be exercised off the lead. Please
note that dogs must be kept on a lead if passing through fields
with stock but can be let off the lead in the wood.
Adjoining the site there are two tennis courts. The one next to
the site is for children and anyone who does not have the correct
footwear, and is charged at £3per hour. The new court is available
for hire to the serious tennis players at £6 per hour. During
high season there is free tennis coaching for children over 8years.
Tennis coaching is available for individuals or for a group of up
to 4. The Games Barn contains table tennis, skittles, pool and TV
Room.
The Information Room next to Reception
has details on local tourist attractions and forthcoming events.
The North Devon Journal available at Reception is also a very good
way of obtaining up to date local information.
